The causes of high rate of population growth rate in Bangladesh are as follows _
- Ignorance: Majority of the people of our country are ignorant. They do not know about the problemes of over population growth. That is why they do not take the measures to control the birth rate through family planning.
- Superstitions: Some rural and religious superstitions obstruct our people in family planning or birth control rate. For this reason, they do not become eager in family planning.
- Early marriage: Most of the boys and girls in our country get married before they become matured. This early marriage is a special of high rate of population growth in Bangladesh.
- Lack of Female education: Women constitute one half of the population of our country. But they are not well educated. For this, they are not aware of the negative effects of high birth rate.
Danger’s of over population
If our population grows at a high rate, Our country will have to face a great problem in future. This will affect on the economic development and progress of the country. The country would not be able to give proper food, clothes, residence, educational facilities, medical facilities and other basic necessities of life to this increasing people. Unemployment problem is a great problem for our country.

Being unemployed, our young frustrated. So they commit many social crimes. Again, this population Problem causes a serious traffic jam on the roads every day. This traffic jam destroys much of our valuable time. So the over population is a great threat for our country.
Solutions
To check the rapid growth of population the following measures should be taken as early as possible.
Firstly, the high birth rate of population has to be checked hardly through the family planning. It is a main effective solution of the problem. Secondly, we have to make camping to educate mass people in our country. It will help to all understand the value of family planning and the problem of over population. Thirdly, early marriage has to be stopped strictly by Government law. People have to be aware about this. Lastly, various encouraging programmes should be taken to make the people eager to stop the high growth rate of population in our country.
