There are a number of causes behind corruption. Unemployment , lack of good governance , lack of morality , inadequacy of salary, political instabilities etc.

In Bangladesh, corruption has engulfed the administrative, commercial, political, and also social sectors. The Corruption has enlarged its paw in business sector too . Only law enforcing agencies are the most corrupted department in Bangladesh according to the TIB report.

Forms of corruption
The most usual from of corruption is bribery. However, there are other forms of corruption too, such as inequal distribution of government funds, sharing of reliefs by the officials, nepotism in public services etc.
Effects of corruption
Corruption lames a nation. Our country gets an undignified introduction worldwide.It minimizes the chances for foreign investments. Now it has turned into an impediment to the development of our country. Moreover, economic disparity amongst people have become more acute.
What to do to prevent corruption
Therefore, it is time for us to prevent corruption. Anti – corruption commission has already been formed to prevent corruption. Besides, it is needed to upgrade the morality and human values of the people. Religious leaders, teachers and parents can play an effective role in this regard.Media can also take a strong stand against corruption. In addition, good governance, increase of job facilities and strict enforcement of legal rules can ensure prevention of corruption. Finally, we should create awareness amongst people against corruption.

Corruption hampers the national progress of a country
Now a days corruption has become a common affair in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a small country but it’s population is very big and most of the people of this country are illiterate and poor . In this situation some influential groups of administration are increasing corruption day by day as their wish for completing their personal interest and they do not know that corruption hampers the national progress of a country totally.
So if this situation continue few days our golden country will be destroyed very soon and the population of this country will suffer in the long run only for the lack of currency in our country. Otherwise, our country will can not stand Infront of the nation with her honour and reputation in the world.
